Esther Jiménez is a Clinical Psychologist graduated at the University of Barcelona with a Master in Neuroscience by IAEU-University of Barcelona. She also performed a postgraduate work in Child Clinical Psychology.

She is currently working as a researcher in the Bipolar Disorder Program (Hospital Clínic, University of Barcelona) with a predoctoral fellowship granted by the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS).

She is involved in a study that explores clinical, social, and genetic variables related to euthymizing treatment response and suicide behavior in bipolar patients. She also participates in the National Clinical Practice Guidelines for Bipolar Disorder project.
